Particular cat breeds are also known to do this more often or less often and certain breeds also only get attached to one person. Like my kitty Seikko, shes a Lynx Point Siamese and Siamese cats are known to be very affectionate and get attached to one person, but also are very paranoid, not wanting to lose their favorite person. So those constant rubs are a continual marking of you as their human
