0:00 Introduction
0:39 Method 1. Simultaneous Equations Method.
3:39 Method 2. Vector Method.
Solving one of the most basic problems of coordinate geometry: Find the point symmetric to the other point with respect to a line. Here, I present you 2 methods. The first method utilizes simultaneous equations, so it can be used without any knowledge on vectors. In the second method, we use vectors. More specifically, we will tackle basic vector operations, direction vectors, vector representation of a line, and parametric equation of a line. This vector method seems more difficult at first glance, but it is very important because it can be applied to other situations including, well... watch till the end of the video!

CORNERSTONES OF MATH features quality math problems to strengthen your math fundamentals and problem-solving ability. Problems are generally on high school level (with some deviations), spanning over topics such as algebra, discrete mathematics, calculus, geometry, statistics, trigonometry, etc. I hope that this channel provides some intellectual pleasure and make you appreciate the beauty of math itself.
