Since 2014, a team at Monash SensiLab have been researching how dynamic simulations can visualise recent archaeological discoveries at Angkor Wat, and pose hypothetical scenarios about how the complex might have operated almost a millennium ago. This study is a simulation of movement through time and reconstructed space, where the paths of thousands of animated ‘agents’ are tracked as they enter, exit and circulate within the temple enclosure. The time frame of the simulation is just 24 hours: a virtual day in the life of medieval Angkor Wat.

I was hoping some one would re make all the original color that were gone. The original temples wall and decoration are NOT gray, they are full of colors and I still couldn't find any document of it because I am not Cambodian, struggle 😅

What's amazing is how people from the ancient past are able to create these magnificent structures. Their knowledge and ingenuity is always being downplayed by modern humans. It is as if it is easier to believe that "aliens" built these structures than believing your fellow human being can think of and accomplish such feats. Just a thought. 🤷‍♂️

The real thing should be cleaned up like the animation to really study the design and meaning in correlation to the significance to the cosmos and leading constellations relevant to Cambodia

although they're describe as black, we're not black more tan-ish, in most asian languages not just khmer but korean, chinese... there's no words such as light, pal, dark etc. we use black and white, so most foreigners have gotten confused

sometime even offended

edited: there is but we just don't use it to describe a person's complexion
