I thought the guy who slapped himself at the beginning was the main character until him and other NPCs went “adiós”.

Surely the overhead camera shot might have been better

That shot of them diving is he waits was low key cold. Was like a predator giving his prey a head start for a more challenging chase

I think I could beat him if I got a 45 meter head start in a 50 meter race.

Life tip: Don't slap yourself all tough when the guy next to you is giving you a 4s head start.

His reaction to the guy slapping himself is so funny, I think it’s probably a ritual but he looks like he’s trying not to laugh

It would be an honor to be able to just swim beside a champion idol, more so if he came 2nd (though because of the time delay specifically only for this event) with an inspiring smile in his eyes towards you. The high five is the icing in the cake. So lucky of him. I hope his name was written in here too.😊

Put the joke aside, the dude in white cap is not bad at all, he needs more muscles to beat the Olympian, but surely is already a super competitive swimmer.

When I was on swim team for some reason I was so ahead of everyone els they started makeing me do delay starts to give the others a chance. I never knew that training so hard while other didn’t was a crime. But still 8 years of swimming Iv been in the papers over a dozen times and only have about 14 2nd place ribbons. I miss it. I wish I never became a drug addict and grew up in a better place so I woulda had people to keep me on a good path to achieve what I loved doing. So kids. Stay sober. If you’re good at something. Stick with it. I hope this reaches some people

I used to swim the length and back under water when I was a kid. It was a large pool that was raced in. Couldn’t believe looking back that I was able to do that.:) I miss the days when going to the pool in the summer was all you had to worry about.:)

I'm a former competitive swimmer and I remember being a swim meets with Alex Bauman, Victor Davis, Mark Tewksbury, and Ann Ottenbright up in I think it was Sudbury back in the 80's... I intentionally got in the same lane with Victor Davis to warm up and didn't move out of the way fast enough and he plowed over me... the next day I got in the lane with Mark and he was significantly nicer about it.. they actually did the proper thing touched my foot then went around me as I dropped below him just in case he did what Victor did because it had hurt and I wasn't looking for a repeat...
It's a memorial thrill for kids to meet and be so close to their idols!
That was an extremely memorable 3 day swim meet.. I got ALL their autographs and pictures with Mark, Alex and Ann.. Victor said he was too busy... I never judged him because hey for all I knew he was on his way to his event call..or maybe he had a lot going on in his personal life and just didn't want to interact with strangers and constant younger swimmer's constantly bothering him ... I believe I was around 14 at that time maybe even 15 at most..

Anyway for him to do this with younger up and coming swimmer's is amazing and will definitely make a difference in their lives but also IF they are ever in the same position hopefully they will do something memorable for the future younger swimmer's

Now that is what you call a good sport man even if Adam gave him a 4 second start now that is fast

This dude could beat a dolphin who had a head start 😂 dude is massive too, definitely seemed to me like he was able to jump a bit further into the pool. Mad respect for all of these men putting up a good fight. ❤
