Rest in peace Tim/Avicii. Your talent builds the platform of better songs and brings out the talent in other musician. You will be remembered forever.

I still remember when spotify started, I could upload my own ripped music and playlist and play it from their cloud. So, I had to upload a bunch of anime music, so I can stream it anywhere. That was freakin' awesome. Now, it is huge that every damn label wants a piece of that pie. Technology is amazing.

I was raised in Rågsved just like Daniel Ek. I still live here 18 years later. His mom, Elisabeth, worked at my elementary school (2010-2014). Basically during the rise of Spotify, which is sick since she actually didn’t have to work at all.

What I remember from her is that she looked mad all the time, which is probably why I was scared of her as a kid. But never once did she mention her millionaire son. So, why would she work at a underfunded elementary school in a ghetto when she is probably rich too? This thought made me realize how lucky I was to be in the same room as Elisabeth. It showed how much she loved working with kids and how hardworking she truly is.

If only I knew that she was Daniel Ek’s mom at that time…. It is very inspiring for me (someone who was once ashamed of where she lives) to see my home being represented. It gives me hope that someone from a place that is today considered “ghetto and dangerous” can be one of the richest people today.

Spotify is not treating new musicians any better than the industry before, but with enough pressure even that could revolutionize 🎉

I loved this miniseries about an historic start up and important piece of internet history. Series gets you hooked within 10-20 minutes of the 1st episode. Highly recommend it! At least to everyone that doesn't mind subtitles.

It's about time they make a movie about what music industry is truly is - a bunch of blood-sucking businessmen who care little about artist and their value.

This was amazing to watch with English audio. A very complex story told via the different people who pulled off the impossible. I can't help but think how a YouTube producer feels like a music artist on Spotify. In the end it's all about feeding the big music companies and select few top tier artists. Everyone else is living off crumbs.

It’s interesting how the origin story of every large tech company is now an inspiring drama with heroes and villains. I can’t wait to see the Notability commercial… I mean movie! 😉

All you people complaining about artists not being payed enough, while that may be true in some cases, a majority of artists on Spotify would not have the reach and the audience it does if it weren't for streaming. Support your favorite artists by spreading their music and going to their gigs. The big money in the industry has always been in the touring and doing live shows.

It's actually crazy that Per Sundin (The boss of music company) is actually the father of CS:GO professional player who played for Ninjas in Pyjamas: William Sundin aka Drake.

No wonder why he always looked like a "Schteeekare".
