What is a Hypervisor?

In this video tutorial, I talk about the role of the hypervisor in virtualization as well as the differences between a Type 1 bare metal hypervisor like VMware ESXI server and a Type 2 hosted hypervisor like Vmware Workstation Pro.

Today more so than ever it is crucial that students learn about the importance of computer virtualization. This is why NDG teamed up with the VMware to create an introductory course on virtualization for beginners. As a video content creator I was asked to create a series of videos to go along with the course. Back in 2013, i learnt the entire CCNA course from your Lab videos and your website so i could deliver my own course.
Let me tell you Dan that there is no one out there that could simplify the CCNA protocols and labs better than you I do really miss paying attention to your explanation and sense of humour in those videos, also your student who was asking you questions during the videos was brilliant i felt that I was there too. 10/10 man.

Sorry if this is a dumb question....
When you want to add a new VM to an ESXi server do you just buy a separate Windows Server license each time or do you buy some sort of Windows license that allows the installation of as many VMs as you want? So, one Windows license to rule them all?

It would be a so much better learning experience if the speaker was really a teacher knowing how to teach the 101s... Instead of some guy just simply reading a script. He's not even good at faking the script to make it sound like he's really in the know, and helping us be in the know. I appreciate the video, but i mean seriously I appreciate a teacher better, someone who can give us good diagrams, theoq in a couple arrows here & there to point out exactly the point of interest... Come on. If youre truly someone's who loves to learn, you're probably like me and know the difference between being taught and being played.
I take learning seriously and I think someone teaching should take their role seriously.
Having said all this, i know ill have to search for & watch 30 videos just to find the 1 or 2 great ones that were made with love & care, and... Blah, blah, blah - the rest goes on....
The love & care that once was a natural part of the teaching world is a dying memory....
