Did you forget about the crime? Low housing cost? Well, there's a reason for that. St Louis is one of the most crime ridden cities in the country and has an even worse suburb across the river called East St Louis. No matter what good qualities and things to do are in a place, it won't matter if your chances are higher of dying there than in other places.

I live there, it's not too bad, of course people will mention the crime rate but I've never had an instance where I was robbed, shot...or shot at etc, you just have to know how to move while you're here, large amounts of attention will be your worst enemy, you kind of get used to it, just like an animal would in the wild.
