Wow- deep cut. I love Cynthia singing Eidelweiss… bizarrely chatted about Yentl with a friend this evening, and I just love Laurie Beechman’s version of “On a Clear Day”. The first time I heard about Wicked was in 2004 when my cousins visited NY and brought me back a Playbill from Chicago that had little ad snippets of Taboo and Wicked. I vividly remember seeing the Wicked performance on The Tony Awards and my AP English Teacher gave me the soundtrack that fall along with RENT and “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown”. I later ended up at my dream school in NYC, and now my mother and I just adore anything and everything Cynthia Erivo. I am so excited for her to get her flowers in such a deserving and iconic way!

Note to Cynthia: "On a Clear Day" IS DEFINITELY a musical. There are more than 10 songs in that show.

I love that song, on a clear day. I first heard it from Shirley Bassey actually. I need to get back into Shirley Bassey. She was a guilty pleasure of mine years years ago.

The Company documentary is from 1970, not the one pictured here

Cynthia would be amazing in Les Mis and Chicago!

She's definitely not talking about that Company revival from a couple years ago
