The use of skeletal anchorage to distalize the lower teeth in class III cases may sound fantastic in terms of “correcting” the occlusal problem, but have you ever thought that the mandibular symphysis has virtually no bone volume distal to the roots of the lower incisors? HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO DISTALIZE 8 mm (class III full step) in a hyperdivergent class III case??!!

O uso de ancoragem esquelética para distalizar os dentes inferiores em casos de classe III pode parecer fantástico em termos de “correção” do problema oclusal, mas você já pensou que a sínfise mandibular não tem praticamente nenhum volume ósseo distal às raízes dos incisivos inferiores? COMO É POSSÍVEL DISTALIZAR 8 mm (classe III completa) em um caso de classe III hiperdivergente??!!

Ortodontia não é somente avaliação oclusal! 🫣🫣
