Travels from China to USA have dropped off tremendously.
It cuts both ways.
DECOUPLING is working.
A lot of Chinese are coming to South East Asia as we are rolling out the red carpet and prices are much more reasonable.
There is no value for monies for USA travels.

Because of the Russian-Ukraine war, foreign airlines have to stay out of Russian air space. This makes USA-China flights several hours longer than before. It is much harder these days to travel to China from the east coast of US.

It's sad on a human level. Study abroad opportunities have also declined. I studied there and had an awesome experience.

Never understood how the solution to trade imbalances is less trade… more trade would seem to be the solution.

Obviously the de-coupling and de-risking between China and the US is working better than expected ? Could it be a good thing that Americans keep away from China thanks to the US government's efforts ?

You'd have to pay ME to travel to China. And even then, it would have to be a LOT of money
