I'm going to add a cx-70 badge to my cx-90 cause now I own both😂

I was riding in a friend's CX-90 last week. The third row was folded down. I didn't realize at the time he actually owned a CX-70 too. Maybe Mazda could provide two sets of badges with the CX-90?

As a long-term (30 years now) Mazda driver, and a stockholder, Im extremely disappointed. Why would they call this a different model when it is just a CX-90 with the third seat removed. Dumbest thing Mazda has ever done. Call this a CX-90 Sport, or something similar. Then give us a CX-70 that is the size of a Cayenne, X5, etc. They need a vehicle actually sized between the CX-50 and CX-90. Thats what most of us have been waiting so long for!

I thought my passport was a little lazy in how close to the pilot it was, this takes that even further 😂

I honestly feel trolled by Mazda.
Mazda: Behind curtain #1 is our new CX-90!
(Several months later)
Also Mazda: Behind curtain #2 is....another CX-90! 😃

Mazda, man. They're like the Apple of the car world. Redesign of the same design! Why couldn't they just make a 2-row version of the CX-90 and call it a day? It's so annoying when car companies don't try to make their models look different. I mean, if I see one of those on the road, I'm gonna think it's a CX-90 unless I squint really hard. The CX-70 should've been a coupe' sport crossover SUV, like the Atlas Cross Sport.

I'm confused, I really thought they would make the CX-70 a little smaller than the CX-90. If it is the same size why have 2 names!

This following the news of Mazda abandoning the 6 leaves me feeling underwhelmed and disappointed.

Smart decision staying home on this one. All the big reviewers went to NY for the reveal to show a CX-90 with a third row delete lol. I’m surprised how many went

Really disappointed by Mazda with this. It's a CX-90 with a third row delete. This is a lazy product.

This is the most disappointing new Mazda product in recent memory. Unless the price is very attractive, there is almost no reason to buy this CX70 over the CX90.

Is the CX90 and CX70 considered to have Kodo design language? In my opinion they dropped the Kodo design and went boring.

MDX 75 and MDX 95 Models or CX 70 CX 90?

Dang Kirk I missed your launch. I'm with you 100% about the design being ho hum. I had been hoping (but with little faith) that they would individualize the CX-70, give it a sportier aesthetic. Like maybe the CX-50 only on steroids. But WOW did they hit the "Easy" button on this. I'm thinking most people will be hard-pressed to discern this model from the CX-90 in traffic. I've always been disappointed in the stubby width of the CX-90 headlights, and how Mazda thought they were being clever by inserting a small led strip on the grill bezel in an attempt to add width the lighting signature. It doesn't look premium or alluring to me.

I do think the design of the rear end of the Toyota Crown Signia is sexier by far - it has a nice up-kick to the rear window which wraps nicely onto the rear tailgate. Also, the Crown Insignia's wheel size looks larger in proportion to the rest of the vehicle. The CX-70 & 90 wheels, despite being 21", look small on the Mazda large body in comparison. All in all, after all this hype and wait, I'm bummed out. Been a Mazda fan for the past 45 years (look up pics of the 1979 Mazda 626 coupe!) so I always have high expectations.

I'll be shocked if the price difference is greater than $1, 500.

I would definitely consider the CX-70 over the Crown Signia due to the RWD architecture. Hopefully Mazda has ironed out the transmission shifting though. Now, if Toyota offered the Hybrid Max powertrain on the Signia, I'd go for the Signia.
