What is it about Martin Guitars that just always seems to pull on my heart's strings (pun intended)? Amazing, undefinable feeling. Thanks for the videos guys, keep m coming!

Incredible Sound from the Santa Cruz, and the playing was great too.

For us finger pickers most high end acoustics sound “great”, but very similar now. The main thing a lot of us want to know when buying an acoustic guitar is…………..it’s weight. The lighter the more characterful the tone. That’s why we search for vintage instruments or look at modern makers who build very lightly (Robin Boucher, Fraulini and Huever, are examples). I’ve just bought a 20’s all mahogany Super-tone parlour weighing a mere 2 lbs 9 oz, and it has an immensely characterful sound…….as I expected. I think too much is made of Brands, grades of wood, and looks, and maybe even “build quality”.
