One thing I will say is DD bases hold money well. Second hand sellers expect 90% retail price in most cases so seems like a stress free purchase. Buying 5nm DD will likely lead you to upgrade again r9 or DD with boost kit is the cheapest "buy once cry once" my money is on a second hand t300 to get started. Personally I had a g27 for 7 years but belt is a joy over gears. I have hope for turtlebeach's future versions but v1 needs adopters. PXN DD wheels are a good price too and have NRG style QR. A v2.5 csl elite for sub £300 with wheel and pedals would be a steal, a truly amazing non DD wheelbase

Logitech lasts like a nokia, whoever says it doesn't often lies,

Moza R3/R5 (I prefer R3 even if its a bit of lower torque) is a pretty good option or the fanatec csl from what you've told so far

DO NOT buy logitech gear, buy thrustmaster instead for the same price or save up for fanatec gear. Logitech quality is absolutely awful, wont last more than a year.
