Thank you! It never occurred to me that she WORKED! I had always read it as if she was a suppressed stay at home mum. But she is.a wise, independent businesswoman; in a society where women were dependent on men for survival! She bought a vineyard with her own money; women didn't own land at that time.
This chapter shows us God doesn't want women to be weak or suppressed by men. He wants us to be wise and strong think for ourselves.

My mother said that this is what her three daughters needed to do. My mother said she want to hear that her three daughters were running the streets. Our mother said that she had brought three women into the world. Not three headaches.. that there was plenty of things to do at the house why are you running streets... All of us all of us have learned to stay home but still be productive in the in the world. Women have the tendency to find the balance. Even when our World sometimes gets a little bit unbalance. At the end of the day the Lord knows what happens in a home. And the Lord knows Best

For a text that is thousands of years old I would never say that someone who said something only a 500 years ago was the first to have that thought.
He may have been the first in along time to say something out loud but not the first.

Love it! The Jewish book: Sirach. Because we all know that Proverbs, Psalms, Lamentations.. are definitely not Jewish, they're Christian books!

@Zondervan matthew 5:28 the word “woman” is a mistranslation from the greek. its actually supposed to be “wife”. it may be written, but it was never spoken
