Hi Dennis...As usual a very good reaction to the magnificent and phenomenal Lucy Thomas. Whenever Lucy sings a new song, it immediately becomes my favorite. So now I have 54 favorites! Lucy never ceases to amaze me. She is so talented and skilled for such a young age and just keeps on getting better. Lucy is definitely as close to perfection as one can be. Probably the best among the new crop of young singers and clearly in a class of her own. A prodigy for sure!

Hi ya Dennis - once again I love watching your reactions to Lucy's videos - your facial expressions say it all. I have watched Barbara's video of this song and it was done in 1976. There have been many technical advances in audio recordings since then, but I still think Lucy's performance is better than the original. Dennis, this particular song from Lucy is really pulling me in. To me it is a straight-up love song. I had a relationship like that for 39 yrs. and this piece takes me back there. Those few notes in the intro set the tone for this song. It's light, endearing, very emotional, ... And when Lucy sings the phrase about 'not changing the meaning of one love' and then slides back to the very smooth and light end to the song just wraps it all up in a beautiful package. I can barely get through this one without a very deep emotional reaction (every time). Woof! 😂

Hi Dennis, Your witnessing the rise of a prodigy. Try some of her stuff from years ago to realize what this girl had back even then. I recommend "Memories" from the "Cats" musical. The power will blow you she really is the Wigan Wonder.

After lucy released this one, I went back to hear a Bab's studio version.
Lucy's version is more rounded and fuller. Definitely better than Streisand.
