2. What do you do for a living? - I work a full time construction job plus any overtime I can get.

3. Where can I download the craft file? - No downloads as of yet. I don't have the time, but these videos are meant for you to be inspired to build your own crafts.

4. WHY isn't the video in ULTRA REALISTIC SUPER HIGH DEFINITION? Because unlike your rich ass that can afford a KILLER PC, I have to use what little money I have, to make sure that there's a roof over my head and food on the table before I can spend it on things like CPUs and GPUs.

THE CHANNEL:

This channel is about Kerbal Space Program and can consist of SSTO building tutorials and rocket building tutorials. Some times the videos contain bad language and adult humor but on a low level. In these videos no planet is safe as we can explore space together by landing on places like Duna and Jool and build large Duna colonies or orbital space stations. Also, Interplanetary SSTO builds seem to be a hot topic in the KSP community so I will be touching on those as well. I also build SSRT space craft. These are fun to build and easy to fly! Warships or space warships are one of my favorite things to make. Stock weapons can be very challenging and so when building them over time , you get to see the evolution of the designs. Same thing with the Warships. They get better and better with each new design.

Now , I know it's considered cheating but Kraken drives are a fun way to put things like warp drive ( like in Star Trek ) and or hyper drives ( like in Star Wars ) in your Kerbal space program game. These game mechanic loopholes are fun to figure out as you find out how they work and how to incorporate them into your star ship design.

Everything from Outposts on far away moons and Mining Stations around asteroids and comets, you name it I've ether built it or it's on my to do list! I still haven't really explored things like building SpaceX starship or any of the NASA spacecraft, and I think that's because it been done to many times. Recreations of spacecraft can be found almost everywhere on YouTube now and so making yet another one seem redundant. Only if the spacecraft recreation is of one that I loved as a kid will I even attempt to build it. Like the Apollo Moon Lander, or the whole Apollo rocket! Now that rocket was cool!

Many people have ask me if I'm ever going to wear my Mandalorian helmet ever again for my videos. And , yes. when the time is right, and I get a new wabcam, I will be dawning the helmet once more!

the fairing is more precise, before you had to eye it out but now you can make multiple of them precisely how you want without having to guess, i think its great

For my money, VAOS is creating the best KSP 1 content on a regular basis these days. Wold have loved to see VAOS at this event.

About the farings, I saw in EJ_SA's footage that he used the orthographic view to build them out and it seems to actually be quite intuitive when they're used together.

This is one of the few games that I am more than happy to be part of Early Access. the devs have a hisotry of listening to feedback and making things right. KSP1 had a long journey to become the game it is today (and as much as I love it is still far from a flawless game.) So starting things simple and improving upon it is the right choice for a game as monumental and ambitious as this is.

1:45 I think the fairing mechanism is actually better when you want something more complex than two stages without any contour. With it you can probably redraw it by dragging instead of having to delete older sections.
And at last, when Matt tried to build Fairings in this Clip, he didn't know that the + creates new nodes.

It's an early access at the version 0.1.x.
It's obvious it will be better optimize.
KSP1 was not that good at the beginning.
I'm not that surprised, still, the communication could have been better. With a "it's really for the 0.1.x version, we plan to do better and reduce the spec needed." something like that.

I think I like the new fairings more. They’re more precise and you don’t have a giant piece of fairing pop up as soon as you place it!

I am actually impressed with the rather decent pronunciation of "Kurzgesagt" for a native English speaker, VAOS. Very close to the real thing and much better than most creaters are able to pull off :)

I really don't get why people are saying it looks really good when it doesn't. It looks like an indie game built on unity using a default graphics pipeline that is absolutely not appropriate for the use case. At it's heart, Kerbal is a flight simulator, not an RPG. Artefacts on the horizon (such as imposters jumping in and out of existence) are not ok. All the particle effects in the world will not fix that the pipeline is wrong.
KSP1 was an indie game built with the tools available that focused on the gameplay, with graphics second. The biggest thing KSP2 could do was use the fact they started from scratch to build a graphics pipeline that suited their use case, and a planet format that worked with it. That means we should be visually comparing it to something like DCS, not KSP1. I get that it is going for a more 'cartoony' feel than something like DCS, but that is no excuse for having bright green grass fields turn into dark green forests when you get closer to them, or mountains that look flat.

I've been avoiding watching videos and waiting to play it. Glad I clicked on this on though because I was unaware of those system requirements. I've gone from planning to buy it on day 1, to probably not buying it for a good couple years now. No way my system is going to run this if their minimum is an RTX 2060...
I've only got 4GB of VRAM lol

As long as my pc doesn't fry I can't wait to try it.

My expectations arent high, in fact I will prob play it once. But I will play it when it is actually done so may as well buy it.

it's got such incredibly high expectations (the launch literally being sponsored by space agencies), i have zero faith that they're going to be met at early access launch. however that by no means implies that i won't be supporting the game with my entire life.
the community is amazing also; with practicing astrophysicists and software engineers playing the game (myself being the former) i'm sure the modding community will be up and running on day one.
so far from what i've seen, the early access is a next gen graphics reskin of ksp 1, which is a very very good starting point imo. i have a lot of faith that the beta version will deliver, and upon full release we'll all be very happy bunnies.

IMO, the devs really missed the mark with who would be primarily buying on release day. I can't for the life of me figure out why they prioritized the tutorial vids over essential features like a tech tree and science collection. 99.9% of the people buying KSP right off the bat will be veteran KSP players, not noobs.
