you said "let it dry and then burnish it with a soft cloth before working back into the piece"... do you mean working back into the piece with more powdered graphite and water or to start drawing? once you have left it to dry and then burnished it, would water and powdered graphite even work? or would it ruin the background already there? also... so sorry for all the question... at what points during graphite and claybord works do you use the fix? just at the end or any other times?

Can you use a rubber to rub out pencil marks on clayboard as you can with paper?

By burnish do you mean rub off? or polish?
