Ngrok | Public URLs for Exposing your Local Applications to the Internet | Access Localhost Anywhere
Description:
Ngrok is a utility to expose any locally hosted application over the web through a web-accessible URL, with automatic HTTPS, even if behind a NAT or other restricted network
It does this by creating secure tunnels to locally hosted applications running on a specific port
You can use it to expose web servers, Rest APIs, SSH, game servers, databases, and many others for free
In simple terms, it provides a publicly accessible web URL to any locally hosted application running standalone or inside a docker container or as a kubernetes pod
It is free to use but paid version has few enhanced features like Custom subdomains, whitelisting, support, etc
Ngrok provides a real-time web UI where you can introspect all of the HTTP traffic running over your tunnels
Download and extract
ngrok authtoken YOUR-TOKEN
ngrok http YOUR-APP-PORT
