Turn your Van/Bus into a Camper featuring VW Touran

In this Video I will show you how I convert my VW Touran into a Camper-Van.
The Construction is out of Wood, the mattress is a normal 2x1,4 m.
I cut the mattress in half so it fitts in the Van.
For the windows I made some curtains wich I also made by myself (The first time i used a sewing machine)
All works pretty well and i had a lot of fun the last year so I want to share it with you.

Great camping set up, when the rear hatch is closed and the front seats are pushed fully forward, how much distance is there? I’m 6’1” and wondering if I’ll fit in a touran laying down without the front folding seat.

Hi,
if you have the first part of the bed that you put in at 0:45 in the VW, can you still attach a seat from the rear seat bench there or is the bed frame too big?

I hope you can still give me an answer after 5 years 🙂

Is it possible to fit a 2m matress inside without adjusting the seats so that you can drive and sleep without rearranging the bed all the time?
