I managed to get all 5 in about 100 boxes (holy luck)

DZT-159:
Didn't really like it at first, but after the first 5 or so matches I have started to like this thing. The gun is as you said, kind of a problem but overall I can make it work; doesn't stop me from rolling my eyes when a shell goes to the next map instead of where I aimed it. Overall 8.5/10.

Squall:
I find going after another light tank with HE loaded to be hilarious, though it tends to result in my death or me losing a ton of health. Also, its not got great camo nor great speed, so every match I have to decide if I want the loadout with the stealth or the one with the turbo. Overall 5.5/10; would be higher if it was faster or at least stealthier...

Toro:
The gun itself and the maneuvrability is quite nice, and the armour CAN be rather good if you are sidescraping (note I didn't say "IS rather good").
My main massive bloody gripe is the damn reloading speeds; how the hell can a 360 alpha shell take 24-36 business days to load in a HEAVY tank?? Even if I played by using ONLY the first shell and used the 9.6 second reload, at that point I still have lower DPM than something like a Renegade man... That reload speed is so bad that it almost makes me not want to play the tank at times... 6/10 generally, 8/10 only if it's a game with clueless enemies lol

Contradictious:
The double barrel mechanic is hilarious and I like the gun depression, though I do find that you get penned from all sorts of weird angles on the roof/cupola. Also yeah the reloading on it is irritating. If the enemies are clueless or scare and allow you to sit around a corner/slope and pump out 720 alpha shots, then you would do well. 8/10

XM57:
I love this thing and find it to be very entertaining. The armour is by no means fantastic, but it does pull off more bounces than I expected when I first looked at the armour profile on tanks gg (then realising I was using the XM's own gun to gauge it...). Usually find that playing peek-a-boom or sitting around a corner with only the turret sticking out works best.
Kinda treat it like a T110E4 at Tier 8 i.e. big boom stick but armour isnt the best and something to rely on. 8.5/10, maybe a 9.

This is the first time that I can remember that W.G. put new tanks into the loot boxes and didn't make us all recover crap from the dustbin to prevent unwanted duplicates.... I am looking at you Emil 1951

the xm57 is amazing, its a trading heavytank thats how u play it, ok in tier 10 mm and godlike in tier 6, the alpha and standard pen makes it so much better then last years xm66F

give the xm57 turbo & rotation mech & rammer and you will be able to snap shot on the move like crazy. i love it! armor is not to bad if you peak and turn with your turret and hide your boddy. you can also have a second build with iau for those maps *but not for sniping. good video though :) btw dont forget about the crazy explosive shells!

I find playing the toro as a mix between T57 and AMX 50b to work best.. Not a front line, and not trying to min max reload.

I just support and find opportune moments to dump full mag then wait full reload. Rinse repeat. Got ace tanker doing full mag dumps instead of doing single shots to max the reload.

Was really enjoying your battle pass tanks series, but glad you're putting that aside because these were some super refreshing takes! Feel like these tanks all have really oppressive strengths in the right scenario, but also below-average versatility, which is a cool balancing move.
Maybe pick it up the BP series again when next year's tanks are announced, that would be a super fun watch.

XM is a great defensive tank. The armor works most of the time when being hulldown or "snorkeling" around a corner. The trollish gun is annoying, yes. The T30 feels reliable in comparison, but I guess that's the price to pay to have a similar gun at tier 8.

Contradictious was made by companies who sell printers. You want to print black but your color cartridges are empty? Won't happen.

Same goes for loading two shells even if you want to fire only one.

The ting about balanced tanks today is that people are still expecting a BZ-176. As anything balanced then is ofc seen as bad or underpreforming sadly

XM57 is a beast. 630 alpha is no joke. DMG accumulates very fast.
Contradictious is good.
Both above tanks work really well so far. Apart from double shots - those miss 80% of the time.
DZT looks OK but I have horrible Win Ratio in it.

Squall and Toro - not going to play them.

I have a love/hate relationship with the XM, sometimes it misses point blank but couple hours ago I had an 8K damage game in a tier 10 match up in Westfield. The Tier 9 medium is (for me) overall well balanced and fun to play here and there. The contra is “unique” but feels so off when playing it, and then we have the squall which I just play like a medium tank and get yelled at when doing so 🤣

Don’t have the Toro but that’s okay for me, when I play against it I pen it everywhere tho. “Playable” tank as skill would say, he even hates it 😆

It needs concentration and armorer skill, mine hits almost evereything :DApcr deals less damage, shoot AP and you could erase that Lorraine with HE. XM57 is very annoying to play against, I actually love to play it in platoon with friends.
