Not only did Marie handle the situation gracefully, but so did Drew. That's a difficult position and Drew got through it like a total pro.

Drew didn’t quickly move on or make a light hearted comment to lighten the moment she really leaned in and created a safe place for Marie to share and not be left feeling like she’s burdened people with her emotions. I went through the same thing with my wife when she was killed by a drunk driver 3 1/2 years ago our daughter was 12 at the time of an every day is hard still for both of us thank Goodness we were close And you will never get over it a son a wife no matter what

I grew up listening to Marie Osmond and Donny of course. I remember back in the 80’s they performed at Ontario Place in Toronto Canada. She was sick with a flu/ cold .. and yet she carried on and put on a great show. I was impressed.
She’s had so many ups and downs and I’ve always had great admiration for her. Losing a child must be an almost impossible cross to bear. Sending love. ❤️

I don't think Marie should have been judged by anyone on how she handled going back to work after the loss of her son. Shame on anyone who didn't give her the freedom to grieve & process & move forward how ever was best for her. I have always had nothing but respect and love for this woman and I'm adding Drew to that now as well because she handled a real human moment in a loving way and turned it into a teaching moment.
