As someone who puts in more than a few fences manually, this saw would be perfect whenever you have to cut a post for any reason… like shallow ledge rock the bane of my existence.

what size arbour does the nz version have? the canadian one with a 10.25(260mm) blade comes with a 5/8" wondering if we could put the larger blade on here

Does the 270mm blade comes with the saw in NZ? My place comes with a 260mm blade... Although it is ofc 270mm blade compatible as stated in the Makita site, it just doesn't come with 270mm as default....

I have the Bosch GKS18V-25GCB14 which is supposed to only use a 7 1/4in blade, but after removing the guard I put an 8 1/2in blade on it and now it cuts about 3 1/2in deep. Most saws will accept much larger blades if you remove the guard.

But no, none of my skill saws will cut 4in deep :(

Noice! Is there something wrong g with the blade guard? It doesn’t seem to go all the way forward, that must be really annoying😉
