So, if what is happening is bad, if it is wrong, if it shouldn't be happening, then ask yourself -- "Why is it happening?"

A thought process in philosophy (my philosophy) suggests that, because nature apparently created humans in the first place, and gave humans all the tools and intelligence needed to do whatever it is humans do, that we are therefore a purposeful design of nature doing exactly no less than everything nature intended to accomplish with our design from the outset.

Granted it's a dismal thought, but if much of what mankind contributes to with its seeming negative impacts on the Earth in the course of its various day-to-day activities is somehow wrong, then it has to be said that nature was wrong in its design of the human animal. This includes deforestation activities, the destruction of natural habitats in other ways, causing pollution of the Earth's waterways and atmosphere that is not only killing other animals, but is also killing humans. It also includes the ongoing wars mankind wages against itself, which seems to indicate a compelling, consistent and even an innate tendency of our specie toward acts of genocide.

I don't know of any person who would suggest that giraffes, or dogs, or elephants, or birds, or fish, or any other species are engaged in wrongful activity that is somehow contrary to the laws of nature. After all, every one of these various different species are a product of nature; and it therefore must be assumed they are acting in accordance with the laws of nature. Though in direct contrast to all of this, humans will say that our activities are somehow wrong.

So which is it? Is mankind actually doing 100% of everything that nature intended with our design, or did nature make a mistake in our design? And you can't have it both ways: You can't argue that the alleged "free will" of humans to make the choices it makes is simply the fault of individual people making bad choices, since after all, nature is also responsible for the fact that humans even have free will.

Human activity has largely never been any different than what it is now; there are just a lot more of us now doing what we do than ever before. So the consequences of our actions are evidently mounting exponentially due to our ever-increasing numbers. Obviously there would (or will) come a point of reconciliation in which the human specie itself will face widespread extinction, and likely even total extinction given enough time.

But either humans are actually doing everything nature intended, or it's nature that is wrong in this case. Humans are - and have been forever - engaged in a meticulous ongoing process of causing extinctions on the planet, including to otherwise be working at making the planet uninhabitable even for humans.

So did nature make a mistake with her design of humans, or are we in fact doing everything she intended? You decide...🤔
