Dubai is late stage capitalism "personified", and this whole project *stinks* of unchecked hubris, disregard for human lives and pure greed. In my eyes, it's a disgustingly ugly building. Both in design, and as a concept. "Branded living" just feels so... Wrong. Dystopian on a whole new level.

I do work in UAE and to be frank with you, I won't be coming back to this country or wish any of my relatives to ever come here to work again. If you have money you can enjoy the country but if are looking and working for money you will hate yourself 😢. I have suffered alot of abuses, salary withholding and not been paid with nobody to complain or listen to you and you are still made to work

I live in Abu dhabi and often go to dubai for leisure and what i can say is that the migrant abuse in the Uae is normalized here. Most of the workers come from South asian countries, which are prodomantly poor, so they come here to live a better life and support their families back home. They can't really do anything to fight because that would mean them risking getting fired or even getting deported because there are thousands of other men who live in the same situation that could replace them.
