A career changing song for Gloria Gaynor, a comeback of huge proportions. Her 1974 hit 'Never can say goodbye', established her as one of the first, if not the inaugural disco queen! Other singles and albums followed, but nothing caught fire like this burning anthem, penned by Dino Fekaris and Freddie Perren and bizarrely originally placed as the B side for 'Substitute', the single issued from Gaynor's 1978 LP 'Love Tracks'. It didn't take long for the record company to realise that what they had on the flip side was pure gold, and in fact it is one of the best selling dance recordings of all time with more than 2 million copies alone in the United States.

'I will survive' is an enduring anthem, has been covered by artists from every genre, and has been mixed, remixed, re-recorded, sampled and karaoked to death! It survives all right! Here is the original 7 inch single version.12 inch to follow....
