DRIPSTER Cold Drip Coffee Maker Guide

This ‘slow-drip’ method takes far less time than the more common ‘immersion’ method—only about 2-3 hours total—but still produces a rich and vibrant cold brew coffee concentrate. Thanks to the adjustable dripper valve, you have complete control over the dripping rate of your water, which means you can customize your technique at any time.

Most brewers of this style are the large, expensive towers you’ll find in hip cafes, and therefore aren’t really well-suited for home use. This brewer, however, has a slim body and compact design that makes it perfect for home use. And with the 600ml capacity, it’s still large enough to make several servings of iced coffee at a time.

The stainless steel mesh filter gives you a full body and rich flavour without producing a single gram of paper waste. It’s easy to clean and can last a lifetime. The water tank is made with a durable food-grade plastic and the carafe made from borosilicate Pyrex glass.

So I was looking for some info for my first ever cold drip coffee batch. This was the first vid that came up. It happens to be for the exact model I purchased, and from the exact company I bought it from. Thanks in advance from Adelaide.

I'm trying this with some DIY stuff I have around the house and I worried about even extraction. It looks like putting a filter on top is the way to go, I will try that next time.

How many grams of coffee do I need? And how much ml of water do I need for each gram?

Hey, great video, I wanted to ask if the material that the Dripster is made of, has any significant change in the taste of the coffee? Because I know plastic usually changes the taste of coffee and glass doesn't.

So the ground coffee needs to be quite coarse?

I kindly ask advice. I have the exactly the same version of the dripster. These days I found an issue. When I put 35 gramms of ground beans into the chamber, after 1 hour coffee is swimming on the top of water and dripping rate of coffee is little bit less than the dripping rate of the water top of it, but I don't understand why coffee is swimming on the water.

i'd recommend going finer grind size and slower drip rate

This is completely stupid. Maybe just buy a phin coffee for $10.

Edit: takes a few hours? I didn’t think this could get more stupid but it did.
