48 hours in an unrecognised country (transnistria)

Before my trip to Transnistria, I had not even heard of the self-declared independant state, recognised by none of the UN's member countries. However, on my visit I saw a region basically "stuck" in a conflict, which has been in armed neutrality for the past 30 years. Surely being trapped in a conflict isn't sustainable and makes for a very uneasy and dangerous atmosphere? Not in Transnistria. This is why I think it is an excellent model for conflict transformation.
