Today I want to show you guys how to record csgo in 2020 using OBS. Since the trusted mode update a lot of record softwares have stopped working so I wanted to show you guys a new solution and also the best recording settings to use with it! Hope you guys enjoy!

if ydk wat each encoder does just dont explain it wrong pls, x264 uses your cpu (processor) and nvenc ( for nvida) or amd H.264 (for amd cards) uses your gpu (graphics card) and not all graphics cards have encoders for example only the gtx/rtx nvidia cards have encoders (gaming cards in general).

I play CSGO at Windows res 1024*768 then CSGO res Windowed Full Screen to have stretched res.
Only when I want to record my accidental highlight play.

I have a question.

I have a 2k monitor (2560x1440) and I play CSGO at 4:3 stretched (1280x960). When I am done recording, I get an output that has black bars. The output video doesn't look as it is in-game. I can't put 'allowthirdpartysoftware' on CSGO startup to allow 'Game Capture' as I won't be able to play matchmaking on untrusted mode. Also, I added a 'Scaling/Aspect Ratio' Filter' to my 'Display Capture' source, set it to 4:3 and the output still doesn't show the stretched video output of the game. How do I solve this issue? I want the output to look as it is in-game.
What 'Base Canvas Resolution' and 'Output Scale Resolution' should I use to get my desired output?

I use Display Capture but as soon as I tab into CS:GO, OBS shows me a black screen and the final video will also be black for as long as I am tabbed into it.
Any helpful ideas?

For me I use a different resolution 6:4 1024 x 768 and it's just a square and doesn't stretch the way it should how would I fix that?

Hey, I had an issue where at the start of every cs round the frames drop a lot but then after about 10 seconds it becomes smooth and runs as normal. Any idea why?
