I only switch phones a minimum of every three (preferably five) years anyway, and with prices having skyrocketed the way they have, I honestly believe that’s the way everyone should do it.

People should start to see their phones as tool, not as a status symbol. By doing that, they can focus on what's important in a phone: and that is for communication. Not the fancy new features that has little impact in their daily lives.

The purple 14 Pro / Max is still constantly sold out here in Italy although it costs more than a regular monthly salary

Honestly I didn’t see any of this as bad news. It just shows that the market has matured and you really can’t go wrong with any phone nowadays.

If you wanna drop 1 grand on a phone, go on ahead- you’ll definitely have a great experience.

I kind of regret getting the 14 pro max, as it is. I’m not a huge techie and I really don’t use everything it has to offer. So I can’t really see buying up again until I see a drastic change. By then, they might cost as much as a car used to. 😓. I think people with money will upgrade still or people who have plans that allow them, too but not people like me.

My friend bought a 14 pro to replace his 12 pro but realised that the upgrade wasn’t worth it so he’s selling it and keeping his 12 pro

Yeah Apple really need to step up there game as far at the cheaper phones. I think Apple would do well with an ultra phone but just like Samsung it would not be the bulk of there sales. Year after year Samsungs #1 selling phone is the a50 series phone’s, Apple doesn’t have a midrange phone and that’s going to start to hurt them sooner or later.

I think the upcoming years are going to be all about high mid-rangers and Flagship killers, people are going to definitely consider a reasonably priced phone that can do nearly everything that a 1k$+ flagship can do!
It would make sense especially in the economical crisis, it's a golden chance for this market to actually florish

Love this awesome video, Nick!! Considering that I have the S21 base model, I figure I would wait it out for another two years when the phone is done with its OS support. No point buying a phone for incremental improvements when my S21 works perfectly with the SD 888 and the One UI 5. Anyway, keep up the great work, and I am looking forward to your reviews of the Galaxy S23 series smartphones.
