What a wild couple of weeks it's been. Our original plans for IVF were turned upside down when we got the results of Jessi's recent bloodwork. Suddenly, IVF in Italy became a LOT more complicated with long trips, a lot of back and forth every month and a lot of unknowns. We decided to revisit the idea of doing our next IVF cycle in the US. Expensive? Absolutely. Scary? A little. In this video, we talk to our doctors and think about our options and make a choice. A big choice.

Thank you for all of your love and support! Don't forget to subscribe and turn on the bell so you never miss a new video! You can also follow us on our other socials below! Ciao for now! -Jessi and Alessio

you guys! Your support and kindness on this video is truly amazing and we just want to say thank you. We started sharing these videos to help others in a similar place feel less alone and that’s what it’s always been about for us. We’re truly humbled by all of the desire to help us financially, but the truth is we could never ever accept something like that. There is too much need in the world that we feel is much more deserving. ♥️ Again, we are sincerely touched by all of you, but for us, our thoughts immediately go to children facing hunger, people fighting cancer or other horrible diseases, people who have lost everything due to natural disasters or other tragedies so truly, our hearts wouldn’t feel right accepting money. If you want to help us, continue to watch our videos and send your prayers and love. We believe God is in control and won’t lead us to a path without helping us through the obstacles. Just as we pray for guidance in making difficult fertility decisions, we pray for the financial aspect too. We know this is a HUGE stresser for everyone going through IVF, especially if insurance doesn’t give any help. So if you’re feeling the financial strain of IVF, you are not alone. We feel so blessed to be in a position to share our story, and have the support of an amazing community that is rooting for us. No matter what life throws at us, we have so much gratitude for everything we DO have. ♥️♥️♥️

AMH of 0.01 here. Its hard. I completely get the angry feeling. We tried here in Cali but was so expensive and the chances were so low that it was just not affordable anymore. Then I did six months of back to back IVF abroad (left my job and was living abroad because it was still cheaper than doing IVF in the USA). Got one embryo. Came back to the USA. Doctors were not hopeful at all. Next year we tried again and we got two embryos in the first IVF round. AMH was the same. From those three eggs, one turned into a beautiful girl who had a birthday yesterday and the other is the cutest baby boy. The last one is still frozen.
So yes, the chances are soooo small, but it’s not impossible. Whatever your chosen path is, we will hope that everything goes well for you guys!

My wife and I went through this 30 years ago - exactly the same thing. We adopted. Not what I thought was in our game plan. 30 years later, it was the best choice we ever made. We have a thriving son, that's all that matters.

This is so unfair that people must pay for the IVF in the States. I don't even understand that a family has to pay for a birth in the hospital, but why there is no full insurance coverage for an ivf journey.. so unfair.. I wish you the best, guys. I want you to succeed!!
I have been waiting for my baby for almost 3 years. I went through a terrible pregnancy loss last year. And now, I am expecting my first baby in 2025. I want to hug you and tell you that you are not alone.
Happy holidays!!

From this adoptee - THANK YOU for understanding. I genuinely could not have summed up the problem with the ‘just adopt’ mentality any better. Sending love and positive energy as you continue your IVF journey. Infertility is so difficult. I was able to finally have my miracle. She is now 16, and the joy of our lives. I pray you get to experience your own miracle(s). ❤

I think you are saying that you aren't closed to adoption, but you're focusing 100% on each option in front of you at a time. You need this door to be closed for sure before you move on, and if you do move on, you'll give yourself to that option 100%. I think this is very healthy and I know that five years down the road, you'll have a child of some origin, and your lives will be full of love and joy. God bless you both and Merry Christmas.

I have to say, I’m glad this doctor is being very up front. Too often, they push just for you to spend the money. Whatever happens, I’m sending you both so much love and positive vibes.

If you can spend it, give it a try. I am older, did 3 IVFs, spent tons of money in US, had also 2 surgeries and only 1 good embryo. Chances 50/50 of successful transfer. I had literally no problem during the pregnancy and our miracle 7 month boy is with us now. Worth the struggle.

Jessi & Alessio, I want to thank you for being so kind, honest, and thoughtful in sharing your struggles. It means so much to so many, and reading many of the comments has really touched me.

I've been where you are (after donating my eggs for no charge to a lovely couple that resulted in twins when I was in my 20's) and then ironically needing to go the IVF route myself in my late 30's. I've known the joy of helping to complete a family and then the heartbreak and sadness at not being able to have my own family easily due to endometriosis.

All of our journeys to creating a family look differently and you have gone through these trials so gracefully. We ALL want to see you two become successful in your hopes and dreams. I hope and pray that you continue to be surrounded in love, comfort and strength in the coming months. Sending you so much love. ❤

Money should not ever determine who can start a family! Our daughter in law went through IVF and they struggled getting this money together. But they did and after two tries we now have twin boys in the family! So until you say that you are ok with not going further you should stay in the game! Specifically if you do it in Italy! I’m from Germany and love healthcare in Europe much better than what we have here! Enjoy the little moments and victories and get in touch with Phil and Alex! I wrote about them in my first comment to you! Peace ✌️!

Look into INGENES in Mexico. Their therapy is aggressive and my closest friend who was advanced maternal age with a dramatically low AMH had success. They have money back guarantee plans ❤️ As a fellow IVFer (11 rounds) I am rooting so hard for you two!!!! Forza ragazzi 💞
