Molly, Millie… something with an M seems like a good fit for her. 😉 loved learning about your family history & seeing your passion, love and nurturing of your farm. Add a bit of Parmesan to your Kale chips 😋

One great grandfather was a fisherman, the other a farmer. According to census records, he retired from farming by 1920, The next generation moved North to escape Jim Crow and to do more than sharecropping My maternal grandfather inherited a parcel of land so small, it couldn't be divided among his 5 daughters so he left it to the unmarried one. She eventually sold it. That was our last tie to the land. I'm glad that there is a remnant of our people holding it down on God's green acres! Love your little dog. The cattle look like they barely tolerate him, LOL. Consider the name "Peace" for your donkey because she is going to keep the peace on that farm. Perhaps "Grace" for the other because although she's standoffish, she has a graceful, delicate look.

Such rich history of your family. Great to learn about black farmers. I often shop and sell products at the farmers markets and rarely see black farmers. Thank you for sharing.

Your animals are beautiful. It shows that you take good care of them. Farm work is hard but it is so rewarding. Keep up the good work.

I'm not sure about the Donkey name but you could put a sign above the turkeys or chicken coop called "Fowl Play"

I just found your channel and im glad. Its good to see other african americans getting into homesteading and farming. It nice to see younger people getting into self sufficency. You driving a tractor at 6 is definitely a country thing lol😂. I have a small homestead that we got permited as a farm in northeren north carolina. Farming is not for the faint of heart ill tell you that from experience. On my farm im raising all heritage breed animals for the ability to be able to reproduce my livestock naturally. Im a city girl and this is all new to me but i love the experience im getting raising my own food...

Have you ever looked into doing regenerative farming? There's a black couple in north Carolina that do this. They're farm is called grazed farms. I'm hoping to partner with other black farmers to do something like that. With no till farming and regenerative agriculture. Allows more species to be planted
