SIR, I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IN C) THE TWO LINES ARE PARALLEL, THAT'S BECAUSE THEIR ACCELRATION IS ALWAY -9.8 AND SLOPE IS ACCELERATION? I HAVE CALCULATED THE REBOUND VELOCITY IS 7. I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE GRAPH AFTER REBOUND.

in part (c) in the velocity-time graph, isn't the final velocity (v) of the first projection and the initial velocity (u) of the rebound particle the same?

what if I take downwards as positive so the acceleration will also be positive too? if yes, what other changes will there be apart from a being positive?

i tried using the part of the journey until it reaches max height. i said v=0 u=U a=-g (as i took downwards positive) and t=1/2 of 25/7. why is this giving me the wrong answer?

Sir if I take upwards positive in first part. Is it compulsory for me to take upwards positive in the whole question?
