Thank you so much for this sample ! This was the video I watched before my speaking coaching and my coach told me that I was really doing great though I didn’t talk much due to anxiety. Then my test day came. I was so anxious yet I managed to answer all the questions without pauses. I came home feeling so down cuz I thought I didn’t pass. I was repeating words like “Actually.. in particular.. etc.” so I was so disappointed. Then 3 days later I got my results online from BC. My speaking score was 7.5 !

Band 5.5 or band 9 is just one of the requirements. IELTs is also a business without capital. your work ethic and deep understanding towards your profession or career does not reflect by IELTs. However these videos helps a lot to get more ideas

I have my speaking test tomorrow, over video call. If this is band 8 speaking, I think I'm gonna get an 8. However, it depends much on the examiner too.

Thank you very much for this video, Mr. Eli and Rachel! I really liked it, it was very interesting to watch both the test part and your conversation in the end. I liked Rachel's answers to the part 3 questions, she has a lot of curious thoughts. Overall, her outlook on life seems to be very interesting. Needless to say, her English is also really impressive. I’ve been listening to this interview, what I want to know are we given piece of papers to take down the notes,
eg, describe the famous person whom you would like to spend time with.

In part 2 where Eli asked about a famous person to meet or something like that. Can we answer people that already pass away - like lets say Michael Jackson, recently Matthew Perry (just on top of my head) or it should be the present people. Or do the examiners really dont care as long as you express yourself in English? TIA
