If you think baseballs travel far in Denver, guess what? Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium is elevated more than 2,000 feet HIGHER than Coors Field, so the air is thinner, and fly balls keep going and going and GOING. I've never seen anything like it, but I'm not about to complain because there were tons of opportunities to catch home runs.
Normally this stadium is home to the Diablos Rojos in the Mexican League, but for this game (and the one you'll see in my next video), two Major League Baseball teams -- the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants -- faced each other, and it actually counted for the regular season! That's why I was here, and that's why I can count it as my 62nd MLB stadium.
The crowd was overwhelmingly rooting for the Padres. Not only do they have more superstars (Juan Soto, Xander Bogaerts, Manny Machado, and Fernando Tatis Jr.) but San Diego is located much closer to Mexico than San Francisco, so that created an interesting dynamic and made it feel like Petco Park South.
