SJW academic wants to “de-colonize” Canadian history

I'm getting so sick and tired hearing about how bad the White settlers were and how they ruined this land. I have a couple ideas I'd like to share on this topic. First I would eliminate all Reservations and have the band council split the land up among the band members for them to do what they wish with it. Second I would eliminate Aboriginal Affairs Canada and begin the process of registering these folks with CRA so they can pay tax and fairly contribute to this Country. If all Natives in Canada were relived of the crutch of social assistance and made responsible for their fair share of the tax burden, I believe this would be a step in the right direction. I have many Native friends who have always worked and paid their fair share and they are almost as pissed off as I am at the Federal government and their own Bands. Particularly some band councils chiefs that have been found to be siphoning money meant to help their community's.

Meh if you want to decolonize Canada, that is the land Canada covers, the first nations have to go as well. They migrated here as well.

It seems to be peculiar to some members of Western society to romanticize the "Noble Savage" and glamorize living a stone age, subsistence life style. There have been large amounts of bad blood and blood spilled between Western and Native cultures yet somehow we have managed to live together despite an often contentious history. We can appreciate our own and each others culture and history without attempting to re-write history to fit some ideological mold.

As A European, I have never understood why there are this many problems between the Indians and the descendants of the European settlers. Sure, there was war and much brutality, but we had war and brutality in Europe too. The Spanish mercenaries razed and almost leveled Antwerp and slaughtered its citizenry when they weren't paid after suppressing the revolutions in the Netherlands and Flanders. The Napoleonic wars cost millions of lives. Every day, farmers still find grenades and debris from the first world war and my grandfather was a direct eye witness to the brutality of the German soldiers and the allied bombings that destroyed entire cities, including schools and hospitals. I even have family who as a child lost part of his hand during the bombing of Mortsel.
Starting in medieval times, my neighborhood has always been the plaything of the many invading forces of pretty much every single nation. Everyone learns about all that shit during history class, but none of us wants to deport all Spaniards back to Spain or anything dumb like that.

The lands of Canada were PURCHASED and LEASED from the aboriginals, if a home I purchased 20 years ago is now worth double I don't get the difference.

I am Canadian and I know what was done to the Natives of Canada the people who think we should "De-colonize" Canada should leave this country and take the Muslims with them

Immigration is neo-colonialization.
My ancestors are mixed of native, french and english, which is typically Canadian. French ancestor came over in the late 1600's, and would have taken 2 months to get to New France, and there were no conveniences or luxuries.
So when I hear the ridiculous "we're all immigrants" refrain, as if to compare me with a modern immigrant who's come here in less than 10 hours with an inflight meal and movie, it makes me want to crack skulls.
