Just received mine the other day and performed a Dewalt Jobsite Saw alignment and got it down to 2/1000ths of an inch... Seriously a huge difference in the cuts now. Took about 30 seconds to set up and a couple minutes to do, only because the miter slots on the Dewalt have a crazy little groove in the bottom. So I had to hold the unit down while sliding it. Initially the saw was off probably a full 1/8th of an inch so I was getting burns and having to "push" the wood through. Simply perfect now and this is an absolute must have! Don't hesitate, get it now... By the way, Amazon Prime made this a very easy and fast transaction. All smiles here! :-)

The table saw shown on this example seems to have the miter track really close to the blade, and this tool itself seems to be rather small. My job-site saw has the miter slot much further away from the blade. How far away can the miter slot be for this to work?

So, what is the standard way to use this tool? On the left miter slot, or the right (assuming the user is standing behind the table as if to push stock through the blade)? Thanks.

Well, my Woodpeckers Saw Gauge came today, and was very disappointing. I expected better.
Too much slop
Rocked diagonally like a table on an uneven floor, or one leg shorter than the others
Nearly impossible to get consistent, repeatable results
This was on a jobsite saw. It might do better on the cast iron table of a contractor saw or cabinet saw. Possibly, but at this point I am skeptical.
