Pro tip: Cut the fatter end of the egg off (the "bottom" of the egg) to get a larger surface area for your bread to dip into.

My Mum use to cook Dippy Eggs and Soldiers for me, when I was a kid. I'm now 50 years old. I've never cooked a soft-boiled Egg. I've cooked hard boiled, scrambled, fried and omelettes. But I never knew how to do soft boiled eggs. As soon as I watched your video, I made 2. They were PERFECT! Thank you! All I need to do now is, learn to cook Poached Eggs. I've tried, but they never work out. I need a really easy way to do them.

There’s a tool available to cut of the top of the egg as opposed to getting pieces of shell in the egg.
