I have set up the alternating lights on my landing pads for night and low visibility landings - they are great! Thanks Beeble.

I was trying so hard and for so long to get a powered garage door to work with the floor switch. Within the half of your video I got it perfect. Thank you

You forgot a little trick : you can make a place that get illuminated by night only, by using a solar panel to control an inverter. One solar panel control the inverter the others charge the batteries (in case there is no electromagnetic source nearby)

I was so happy when I worked out wires and switches. And then found someone had turned what should be a simple circuit, into a complex hell.
This video should hold the title of best and simplest explination.

Great video, thank you! Minor point: when you are talking about electricity flow, closing a switch completes the circuit and allows electricity to flow; opening a switch interrupts the circuit and prevents electricity from flowing. It is exactly the opposite of valves and fluid systems.

The thing I love about wiring in no man's sky is spending hours making something work, getting it to work and then completely forgetting the process and not being able replicate it.

*Place wire*

Doesn't work

*Delete wire and replace in different spot*

It works....wait....how did I do that?

This video actually helped to understand some of the things I couldn’t quite get and also helped with examples and new stuff, thank you!

Just made automatic patio doors that open during the day and shut at night.
Constant power + Solar panel --> Power inverter control

God, getting back into nms is fun. Always have to rewatch the logic videos anytime i wanna wire my base up. To bad this video dont show you how to do buttons with doors.

Man, I have been thinking about creating a big circular lighting pattern and was almost disappointed there was nothing about turning on/of lights automatically. then there was and now I'm still not sure how to go about doing what I wanna do, but I have somewhere to start :D

It’s like nails on a chalk board when trying to learn the in game tech of this game, I guess that’s what makes it fun

I 100% understand why doors are the way they are, but I still dislike that powering the door closes it. I feel like there should be a third state for doors: powered, unpowered, and disconnected. This would allow for the more obvious and intuitive choice of using the powered state to open the door via whatever mechanism you want (switch, proximity sensor, etc.), but allow the door to be open when there is no power line connected to it at all. This is probably the only place where the power usage feels backwards, so not worth the development time to "fix", but it definitely makes my eye twitch every time I have to deal with it.

It seems HG may have altered the auto switch in a patch; you can no longer get a pulsed feedback loop.

an open switch interrupts flow, closing a switch completes the circuit. sorry 20+ years of Electronics repair. had to correct your syntax

Hiya mate, great video as normal.
Can you do a short video on how to place walls and floors at a 45 degree angle. So they are still the right way up. Cheers mate

Great video.
Thank you.
@Beeblebum Can you make a video on how to make locks to doors (pin code locks)?

This may sound daft but…….. is there some way to use a solar panel as a switch since they turn off and on automatically? I want to make the large doors in my house open at dawn and close at dusk. I’ve been fiddling around for a couple of hours but just cant seem to do it?
