This is still by far my favorite smaller styled warship ever made thing is so simple yet is the embodiment to "hold my beer" punching in above it's weight class

This ship is a magnificent example of how well EU/ Legends works were connected with each other by the continuity. The Dreadnought was introduced in the Thrawn Trilogy in the 1990s, being mentioned as ancient ships used during the then unexplored Clone Wars. What happened when the Clone Wars were finally shown in the prequels yearsv ater? That the "Republic" comics show Dreadnought in service of the Old Republic against the Separatists.
Simply 😘👌

The design of the Dreadnaught always reminded me of a battlestar without the flight pods.

Dreadnought: “I’m a dreadnought!”

Star Destroyer: “You are like little baby.”

I love, how Providence-class started as a Dreadnought retrofit and improvement, meaning, that MC80 has Dreadnought "genes"! It's very visible, when you look at MC80 gun blisters and organic "curve" of Dreadnought.

Haunted ships aside I have never noticed presence of Dreadnoughs in Lothal blockade fleet. This makes them Disney-era canon ship. YES, Filoni's crew was hiding ships in plain sight.

Surprised no mention of the Ruusan Reformations with it! 600 meters long was the maximum size allowed for any capital ship to be made. And the reason they lasted for so long wasn't necessarily as they were a great ship, but because there were so many of them as they had been made for well over a century. So they were reasonably simple to get and you'd lose a large number of potential capital ships if you didn't utilize them.

The toyota pickup trucks of the galaxy sturdy, durable amd reliable, everyone uses it and it never lets you down. Though I still don't get why they required so much personnel.

Great vid as always

Nice use of Empire at War footage. I’ve always been able to fit the dreadnought into my fleets either as auxiliary damage dealers or just meat shields for my bigger ships. This thing is amazing

The Dreadnought is my favorite ship in Star Wars. It looks like it could fit in just about any sci-fi universe.

My most favorite heavy cruiser of the saga, this truly is one of the best ships of the saga. I have made a special squad of Dreadnought heavy cruisers for my fleet called "Aiwha Squadron, " and it is comprised of 5 of these cruisers that have upgraded systems and arsenal to better combat CIS capital ships (mainly to cover up the lack of capital ships at the beginning of the war) and while 1 of these ships can beat down even a Munificent frigate on it's own, the whole squadron can take down even a Providence carrier/destroyer or an ISD (as my fleet would join the Rebels later on)

A magnificent and beautiful piece of engineering. Such a venerable warship with the ability to punch way above its weight class from a century before the Battle of Yavin to years after the Battle of Endor. My absolute favorite Heavy Cruiser class vessel in all of Star Wars.

Many dreadnoughts were in the Centrality's Navy as well.

So happy to see a breakdown of this ship. I have been fascinated by it ever since I read dark force rising.

I always liked the design of these capital-class ships. Moreso after reading about the legendary Katana Fleet from Legends

I was always perplexed by the gun placement on the Dreadnaught. It looks to have no real thought to firing arcs or even line of sight. The gun emplacements are also weirdly organic-looking on an otherwise pretty austerely-designed ship.

Despite the Dreadnaught’s systems issues, I would so have that as part of my fleet, along with a Raider class corvette, TIE Reaper and a Quaesar class carrier as a flagship and a light cruiser

Dreadnought is legit “go ahead try it” without having to do much to prove a point

Technology has evolved a lot in the last 100 years in Star Wars.

When the Dreadnought Cruiser can reach up to 13 MGLT

The Resurgent-class Star Destroyer can reach more than 130 MGLT, surpassing the speed of an RZ-1 A-wing Interceptor

You missed the Assault Cruise Mk 1 which was a rebuild Dreadnaught class fielded by the Rebels to reduce the crew requirements of the Dreadnaught.
