As a person who doesn't use export, I see this as an absolute win.

People back in (import year when Gacha Club didn't exit yet*) had to screenshot every page of their customization tablet in order to take OCs without any inaccuracies... Smarter people did study the Event Numbers page and with it 5-7 screenshots turned into one, but I don't know anyone who actually did this back in time

Well, after the update for GC (both IOS and Android), the feature for exporting became basically gone at this point

the funny thing is that I’ve done this before. Just completely copying someone’s OC. It’s because I was gonna shout them out. I forgot to. I forgot their channel 2, but I completely made their character from scratch because they didn’t feel comfortable sending the oc code. And i had permission to use their oc
