The pumped in sound for the 4.0L actually started with the first E63S that had the 4.0L. The only 4.0L AMG 63 that didn't have fake sound from the speakers was the pre-facelift W205 C63/S (that I was lucky enough to own for a few years) and the GTRs. If you're used to the C63 or GTR exhaust, the first time you drive a 4.0 E63S, CLS63, GT63 etc... and all that followed including the facelift W205 C63S the video game V8 sound weirds you out...especially since they sound nice from the outside. Anywho....

That launch in the beginning makes one realize how heavy this thing is...I think the older S63 felt quicker despite having 190 hp less. Probably helps being...what, half a ton lighter?

I know some people are mad that this car is "slow" for 800hp but honestly if that's the price you have to pay to fit in the regulations and have better fuel efficiency but still have a V8 I'm all for it.

Fun Fact: All the people who are keep spamming hate comments about the S63, can’t afford the car anyway. (I can’t afford it either but I can still acknowledge that it’s one of the most beautiful cars on the streets)
