Eisenhower's Visit to Franco's Dictatorship

In 1959, U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower visited Madrid and met with Franco. For the Spanish dictator, this was a great achievement and recognition of his power, which made him feel even more secure in his position, while his opponents wanted to see him fall.
