This coming Tuesday, 27 July, 2021 at 15:00 CET, via Zoom, the World Health Organisation is presenting a webinar with experts in mental health, to discuss innovative approaches to addressing trauma during a pandemic.
Among the panelists are Dr. Gregory Keane, Mental Health Advisor at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), Doctors Without Borders, in France, who will speak about the interventions that MSF has deployed, as well as present challenges and uses of new technologies to address care for frontline health workers, women, and children.
Watch my interview with Dr. Keane to discuss strategies delivered by MSF in the past when he was posted in Iraq, what works and what are the challenges to onboarding people to digital healthcare platforms, the digital divide and access, how to combine face-to-face interventions with tele-health, and ensure the safety of women and children when using these tools.
