Breaking News | A ruckus erupted between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party about the sequence in which the oaths should be taken ahead of the election to choose Delhi's mayor, deputy mayor, and other officials on Friday. A month after the AAP overthrew the BJP's 15-year hegemony in the civic body, the elections for the important positions in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) were held. In the 25-member body's MCD elections, AAP won 134 wards, BJP 104, and Congress 9. Aale Mohammad Iqbal, a former instructor at Delhi University, is running for deputy mayor, and Shelly Oberoi is running for mayor in today's elections as AAP candidate.
