Happy to see Weltool getting the recognition it deserves. These lights are built incredibly well. They lean more towards tactical and outdoors, so I understand why UI and form factor might be a little off putting to some that need more EDC oriented light. Really enjoy my T17, T13G and T1 Pro Tac. Hopeful to get more in the future.

One thing to note about Weltool lights is they tend to use beefy springs on both ends for their tactical lights which is more robust and reliable and can use batteries of varying lengths. Their weapon lights are also compatible with industry standard scout mounts, surefire tailcaps and remote switches. And they are beginning to utilize epoxy potting in some of their light heads for recoil resistance. Imo they are making their lights the right way for a pretty reasonable price. I believe they have some knowledgeable people helping them with r&d.

I have not been able to find a review with beam shot comparisons of Weltool and any other flashlight. I would very much like to see how a Weltool running say a SFT40 compares to another flashlight of similar form factor running the same LED. I look forward to seeing a comparison review.

I don’t know how many flashlights I’ve passed on because of a bad pocket clip lol. It’s a small part of flashlights but such an important part

Weltool really does a great job at producing quality, purpose driven lights.

T2 is fine as it is but the reality is that with a 26.5mm head diameter you could definitely get higher numbers of candela with other leds and drivers in it, as some manufacturers are already doing like Convoy with their 24.2mm head diameter lights like the S2, S6, S8, S2+ with the Osram w1 or w2 in them.
What i did is that i chose both to increase brightness and also increase the candela by ordering a custom Weltool T2 with the SBT90.2 led in it and a customisable driver. And now i am planning to buy another T2 with the Osram w1 in it. T2 +w1 osram should reach 65-75.000 candela with the 26.5 head diameter.

The same applies for the T1 pro. In order for the T1 pro to be able to accomodate ordinary AA bateries the driver in it isn't able to push enough lumens out of the lithium cells. For example at the same head diameter of 20mm exists the Lumintop fw1aa and that sucker can push 30.000 candela at around 700 lumens with the Osram w1 led in it. Since i already own the fw1aa i can't justify to buy the Weltool t1 pro tac even though it's a far superior tactical light. I would definitely choose to get a custom T1 pro with the w1 led and a proper driver in it instead.

So generally weltool are on the right track, they offer quality lights, build to last, with great design and tactical features, but they could do better on the performance side of things by ditching the dual fuel compatibility with the cr123 and AA bateries. And since they like to release the same lights with different ui's then they should try and release the TAC versions with max performance and maybe with a customisable ui in them like some other lights they have.

The only lights that i know from Weltool that have max performance are their LEP offerings like the W4 pro and their small 14500 W2 and these i would certainly buy straight from Weltool without doubt. But their reflector flashlights i couldn't justify buying them, no way, Convoy and other companies offer higher performance lights at a fraction of the price of the stock T2. And another bad thing weltool is doing is that most of their lights except for the T2 and a couple of others carry no striking bezel at all, while simultaneously they market themselves as a tactical flashlights company which to me it doesn't make any sense.

Similarly sized to the stock T2 exists a far superior flashlight at half the price if you order it from Ali.
The Nitecore mh12pro with the following features the Weltool T2 doesn't have:

-65.000 candela, 500 meters of throw
-21700 cell with 5300mah and thus better runtimes
-Type c rechargeable
-More capable as an edc with the side switch and 4 output modes as well a moonlight, strobe, sos, beacon
-Greater lumen output at 3300 lumens vs the 1900 of the T2 which allow for a very big hotspot that also throws at 65.000 candela

Generally though i always carry my custom T2 sbt90.2 with me and the Nitecore mh12pro stays at home cause the T2 with the sbt90.2 produces more lumens 4300 and creates a bigger hotspot thus is a better self defence tool cause it's easier to target an assailant's eyes from a close distance in a stressful situation. And the candela is very close to the mh12pro as well around 55-60.000.

T1 Pro Tac marking - there is TAC engraved in the groove for clip
It’s almost perfect light, what I am missing is battery indicator, like T2 Tac has. Have this light and cannot eliminate fear of short of power as there is no any warning of low battery

Weltool is a great option for those looking for a moderate lumens very high candela flashlight for a good price. It’s not budget but not as expensive as mod lite and cloud defensive.

Nice light, my only gripe is that it hasn't a moonlight mode. If it had that I'd buy one. Great video

Interesting. I got an edc27 from Nitecore for what I was looking for. This gets hot crazy quick on max but it is comfy in pocket. I have 3 issues with it.
I may grab that 14500 one later.

In my experience, of which I have tons, LED lights with a super-exposed tail button have always accidentally activated when carried in (left or right) pockets of my tactical BDUs. Unfortunately, I am not exaggerating. Due to this design (flaw), I will only purchase tactical flashlights that incorporate a shroud around the tail switch.

I'll check it out... I usally use thrunite or nitecore but been looking around for a medium size light, but I like more flood for edc purposes.... Been looking at Nitecore EDC27, but that a bit over kill for my use... Anyways, thanks for your opinions and your time 😎✌️

I do sort of qant one of these. Sure they're pricey, but man handling a hot flashlight isnt fun
Also those lumen and candela amounts are nuts!

if youre looking for a cheap alternative to the t1 protac, try the convoy t3 nm1 16$ on ali without battery and similar specs. and has 12 modes
