I think most people, who are casual gamers, would probably go for the Stealth GS77, just because it's slim, lightweight, and not completely gaming orientated, so they can use it just about anywhere, including at work, and be gaming on it when they're at home, or plugged in somewhere in public. Most gamers own this particular laptop already, just the 11th gen model instead. Perhaps they'll look to upgrade at some point.

I personally prefer the Raider GE76 12UH. Yes, it's heavy, somewhat bulky, and sometimes loud during gaming, but you do get the raw gaming performance with it because of cooler boost fans and higher voltage/wattage, up to a total of 220W I believe, so you will be receiving all of the raw power that both the crazy powerful i9 12900HK and RTX 3080 Ti have to offer. Battery life sucks though at just 4 hours, or less.

New slim 12th gen laptops from MSI such as the Stealth GS77 will still be powerful enough to enjoy any of the latest PC games, including Battlefield 2042 and Call of Duty: Vanguard, but the i9 processors and the RTX 3080 Ti are deliberately throttled and have decreased voltage/wattage in order to keep the hot temperatures in check, there's just not enough room in those slim chassis to have those i9 processors ramping up to 5.0 GHz, base clock-speeds will be much lower compared to the bigger and heavier extreme gaming laptops.

I would like to see a first impressions review of this 12th gen Raider GE76, preferably with the 1440p 240 Hz display panel. 1080p 360 Hz panel is nice, but it's old now as it was in the 10th and 11th gen models, and there's now enough raw performance in this model to have a much higher resolution available, and still be playing games at over 60 FPS easily. I like to think 1440p at 240 Hz is the sweet spot, so you get both high-resolution and fast refresh-rate.

I'll be purchasing an Raider GE76 12UH laptop with the 1440p 240Hz panel shortly after it has been released, but who knows, I may change my mind later, and go for the 1080p model instead, just because that resolution provides for a more increased and smoother frame-rate.

Forget about the 4K model, that is just not a good option at all, as the frame-rate in the latest games will be much lower but still over 60 FPS, depends on graphics settings really. You'll experience some issues running the latest games released in the next 2-3 years at 4K 60 FPS, with maximum graphics settings, if you buy the 4K model. 1080p and 1440p display panels are the only two best choices to buy with any new laptops releasing in the next couple of months, or later on this year.

I agree with everything you are saying, but I fear that this may mean the end of physical consoles and physical disk or cartridge games :(. Feels like everything will be streamed through tv phone computer in the future in regards to games. I like the idea of having a physical gaming console like the series x . Im big on physical games too, bit I will admit I only use game pass now . The physical copy purchase I might make it elden ring.
