2021 Pepper grow update #3 - 03/28/21 + Transplanting from AeroGarden
This is my third 2021 pepper grow update for the season.

I'm using the AeroGarden Bounty with seed starting deck to start my peppers, same as last year. I've transplanted several out to root channel nursery pots in wicking cups. I've moved some of those down to the basement in the 4 x 4 grow tent under the Mars Hydro SP250 and ViparSpectra XS1500.

In this video, I also show how plants can be transplanted from the AeroGarden into a wicking setup.

noticed a few of my plant leaves curling after I moved them to the grow tent under LED. I dimmed the light a bit hopefuly they improve. Might just be a bit of a shock since they were under fluorescents before that. I think I'll do a pepper update soon. I've been doing grow room updates but haven't really spent much time on the pepper shelf. I started using those tall containers this year and really like them. I got em from Greenhouse Megastore.

Last year, I also drilled 3" holes in some wood. It was a pain but Not one cup feel over the last 2 seasons. I like that feature.

Thanks for showing us an update. I may try the wicking technique on next batch of seedlings.

I wanted to try wicking but was afraid might over water the plants. Yours look good, I think I am going to give a couple of plants a try. Thank you for the update!

Everything's looking nice and healthy peter, that master blend seems to work real good, I used chicken soup for the soil and fish fertilizer last year, I think I'm going to try master blend this year . Thanks for the review peter, Smokey joe.

Could this wicking technique be used for full grown plants in larger containers? With a resevoir underneath the plant and maybe a rope?

Peter, how is the pickle barrel Lingria doing? Is it still struggling after the trim back?

Do you ever transplant from the aerogarden to soil? I setup a small DWC tub like you did in one of your videos for seed starting. It's worked great, but I wasn't planning on making a dozen self-watering buckets to continue growing them in hydro. Can I transition them to soil?

I noticed you have your lights up higher than mine. What would you recommend for marshydro 1000 on highth? I'm at about 24"-30"
