This country is losing out on a great opportunity to change the workplace for the better and it’s because employers want to keep the old status quo.

I’m fully remote and I love it! My old department was hybrid 3 days at home & 2 days in office. My company recently informed everyone that they aren’t renewing office lease and everyone will be working remotely. I’m so glad they are finally understanding that this is the way to go. It’s a win win for all. We did it during the pandemic and should be allowed to continue.

As a former insurance guy. They simply want a thumb on the employees. But in all honesty, all of the claims work can be done remotely.B1

I call BS! All the teamwork, collaboration, creativity, and innovation can and does take place with remote work. In fact, it is my opinion that those things increase with remote work because you look for ways to continue the comradery that was/is built from working in a building. There is no need to work in an office if you CAN work form home. These folks just want to control people. Yet, they aren't tied to a desk in an office.

If they were hired on the premise of remote work and were promised that it will stay remote then the workers should have a case, especially if its in their contract.

I worked in the insurance industry for 10 years. Most of those jobs can and have been done from home. I worked for Allstate at end of my time in that industry. They saw how much money they saved when the pandemic hit that they closed several offices and told us that we are work from home permanently.

My current position is work from home with one day in the office every 6 to 8 weeks to handle things that we can't do from home. Farmers is going to have real issues with attracting top talent with this policy. Also Farmers did not offer that great of benefits when I looked at their positions.

That's messed up. I would find another new remote job. I would not return to that plantation. Plenty of insurance companies hire remote workers. I read an article about Martha Stewart saying remote work is bad for businesses or something to that effect. Yet, she works from wherever she pleases. Including her home. These people are a hot mess.

Farmers is going to be firing people anyway as they refuse to insure homes so i say they all need to walk and find other jobs outside of insurance

UK did multiple studies already proving that productivity actually INCREASED with remote work. Right along with workers getting more rest, less stress, and saving money, thus increasing morale…yet American business heads think we all need to be under their complete control and unnecessarily commuting every day…

Some of these employers are playing the 'back to office' game to avoid layoffs and paying unemployment compensation...expecting people to quit
