In this video I made a crazy piece on the lathe! Try to guess what I'm going to use this piece for. I was inspired by several craftsman, which sold their products on Marketplaces.

I hope you like it! If you have any questions on the used tools, materials or the processes, write it in the comment section - I will try to answer as soon as possible!

I made two of these in tech college. Someone asked if we could machine them. The instructor handed me the materials and a crappy print, and I did it. Mine were 4in Dia and 10in long (100mm x 250mm). I used an Acme thread, but I no longer remember the pitch. The customer was super happy with them.

Your work is absolutely amazing! With the skill you have, you can create anything that comes to mind. Well done!

I remember seeing a device like this, which bolted onto a vehicle in place of a wheel, advertised in the 1970s. Split wood really easily but always looked a bit dangerous.

Consider using a negative lead for roughing to improve tool life and take heavy consistent cuts

Работа хорошая. Но топориком было бы быстрее. Да и дрель не рассчитана на такие нагрузки.

from France : very nice work, your lathe allows you to activate the 2 feeds at the same time?

Egy bekezdésű menet nem az igazi! Kétbekezdésú kúpos menet sokkal tartósabb.

I did suspected it would be for wood splitting when I first saw it. I can't find info on FT-11 lathe. You seem to have some sort of CNC type control with auto feeds. Is that somthing you've added? Can you provide some wider views of the lathe? And finally what is the machine you show in the center of your home page picture? Thank you for some very entertaining videos. Good work.👍👍⚙🏆👏🇨🇾🇺🇸
