I love this video - interviewing real people on the streets who are talking about interesting things, and with 2 sets of subtitles. Please can you do a lot more like this, it's a brilliant and engaging way to access the language! I had to put on the subtitles because he sure drops half of his syllables!

These are great, Liz! It's fantastic to meet people and hear them talking about their work, their everyday lives. It would be great to visit a traditional cafe, a traditional restaurant, maybe something like a herbalist or chemist, a bakery, to see how Portugal has been, how it's changing.

another very nice video! I ate so often in this "tasca" with the old cozinheira...Let me add that I've never hear anyone asking about the content (conteúdo) of a dish. Older people may ask for the "ingredientes", but what in my opinion is more informal than "Quais sao os ingredientes?" is the simple question "o que vem a acompanhar a carne / o peixe / o borrêgo / o bife / as iscas / o bacalhau /...?"

A good way to view this...Listen 1st with NO subtitles, then again with Portuguese subtitles, then finally English Subtitles. each time you listen write down the general idea about what he is talking about. as you go from hard to easy you can see where you need to study more.
